Default Got a dumb question.

I'm new here, so sorry if this has been asked before.

I want to put 7th gen Monte Carlo SS rims on my 6th gen (2004) Monte Carlo LS. Is there anything that needs to be done in order for these rims to fit properly? My car has 18's already but I do not know the back spacing. So can I just mount and ride with the 7th gen's? Thanks.

I can't find any 7th gen wheels around here, so I'm going to have to order them online. Just hoping somebody knows for sure before I buy them.

have you checked the bolt pattern specs for each car to make sure theyre the same? I don't think you should have any clearance issues with,i see people utting 24's on their montes,it looks ridiculous,i like the 6gen black and chrome ss wheels

Yeah, the bolt patterns match. I really don't think they would be any different, just checking before I drop a lot of $ on them lol. And yeah I don't like them big rims either, 18's are as big as I would go and I've never seen the 6th gen SS rims.

Here is a link you might want to check out, and you could probably call to get a confirmation on it. Sometimes if you have a Salvage Yard near by you can find the wheel and test it in the lot. For the most part if the Bolt pattern is the same it should fit. However I put some 6th Gen wheels on a 5th Gen Monte and they are fine in the back but the front I had to use a spacer to make it work as the offset didn't let it clear the Brake Calipers. If you have 4 wheel disc brakes you would need to make sure you clear all around. Hope you can find the ones you need a make them fit.

Just make sure you run a 245/45/18 on the rim and it will fit no problem.
