Default Front end protection

I am going to order a front end cover for my 2004 ss. But I am driving across Florida this weekend and there are always Love Bugs around. If you are familiar with Love Bugs, you know that their blood can destroy paint in 24 hours if not cleaned off.
I was wondering if any of you had heard about putting baby oil on your car to protect the front end? I don't want ANYTHING to damage my front end. Especially something I've heard can protect it.
What do you think?

Hi and welcome. Can't offer you any help with this question, I'm in Utah and our bugs are somewhat minimal, mostly summer night time we get them on our cars. . I hate the damn bugs getting into the radiator fins and every nook and cranny when you splat them at 85 mph. Hope you find a solution...

Default Thanks

I did some research online and found out that indeed, if you are going into a high bug area, rubbing your front end with a little baby oil will work well. So I did it and sure enough. The bugs wiped right off. Now I will have my bra on Friday and the cosmos are aligned once again. Just need to make sure that the car if covered, and the bra is removed when I'm driving unless I'm going to high bug areas.
Thanks zippy
