Talking Pointed at Brit

I like a n/a exhaust sound better and it's easier to work on. A supercharged ss would be nice but I'm more old school. And besides they all look good, especially black and silver.....

I'd like to know what the guy who originally posted this thread year of LS he was thinking of cuz of the 80's body I liked the LS over the SS but the 1st gen cars an SS is king.

Default Real SS V8?

Sorry I love the new LS engines to death but a lower displacement 5.3 is not the SS V8 check the history of our cars and see what a 454ci is like. And yes I know that a fwd V8 is a 5.3 for SS's before someone criticizes me.
It's too bad the Monte name plate is extinct a rear drive plate form with a 6.2L would be fn sweet.

First of all, be advised that some of the LS have problems with the intake manifold gasket. Also, there aren’t a lot of parts/upgrades for the 3400 engine, and the ones that are out there are sometimes hard to find. Also, a lot of exhaust systems (like Magnaflow and Flowmaster) don’t sound as good on the 3400 engine (personal preference, yes, but most agree).

Features that the SS has that the LS doesn’t:
* Fog lights
* Better looking rims
* The ground effects are painted the same color of the car (so it doesn’t look as cheap)
* Surfboard spoiler (NASCAR style one on Supercharged SS’s)
* Heated, leather seats (this is an option for the LS, though)
* Larger gauge cluster (LS has 3 gauges; speedometer, tachometer, fuel/temp). SS adds on oil pressure and battery voltage.
* Better suspension
* Dual exhaust
* Monte Carlo “SS” badging (obviously)
* More power, thanks to the 3.8 L Series II V6 engine
* Traction control (I believe this is an option on the LS)

* One nice thing about the LS (since it doesn’t come with a spoiler) you can easily upgrade to the much liked NASCAR style stand-up spoiler.

If I think of more, I'll add them on.
