Default Engine swapped or mod???

Fairly new, thanks for the add. So any of you Monte Experts know how I can tell if my engine is a swap or mod??? I bought a 2002 from a second party, W. a supercharged 3800. After making some stupid decisions wrong gas, oil, out of tune, reving high, excited with this beast, TONS of engine mods, I spun a rod bearing! It has the Gen 5 M90 supercharger, Northstar throttle, ZZP all over the engine, 2 inch spacer under supercharger. What I am trying to figure out is, if the OG L36 was modded (Top swap), or it's an engine swap!!!??? I'm digging, finding casting numbers and clues, but it doesn't mean much, so far. Another question, since I'm pretty much looking at a rebuild or new engine, does it matter if I get an L32/67, or do they bolt up all the same??? Some Expert advice would be Super appreciated!

Default Plate/intercooler

It actually has a like a 2 inch black plate looking (plastic), intercooler between supercharger and intake (with 2 lines, on one side) . What does that mean?
