Default Diamond in the ruff

I recently bought a 05 Monte in need of a lot of TLC. The speedo didn't work,
there was no radio, The four tires were from 4 different brands. All these issues were addressed and fixed. I wanted a worthy project car, and I must admit this is it. My next step is to do body work and get it painted.

Any advice and or encouragement would be appreciated.

Hi Rick, attached is a pic of my 02 SS. She was very neglected. The previous owner put those 22s on her and maybe changed the oil. I've had her since April 2012. My TLC list is as follows
PCM, programmed Twice
MAF sensor
MAP sensor
Cramk Position sensor
Coolant Elbows
EGR VALVE
IAC
TPS
Cat and Resonator
All 4 Struts, complete with new springs and bearings
Both Front Hub Assemblies
Belt
Battery
Rims and Tires
Front Brakes Rebuild
Outer Tie Rods
Passenger side Axle
And soon, Transmission Rebuild.
Oh and an Engine Cover care of The_Maniac

Once the Trans is done I have Minor things to do:
Wheel Alignment
Headlight switch
Hazard switch
Passenger Door Alignment
Rear bumper cover replacement

I've done all this in the course of the 2 years I've owned her. All of it was bad when I got her. But I think she (Ol YellaJAC) is worth the effort and Bloody Knuckles. She has everything I want in a car. Including, easy of Locating in a Huge parking lot. Lol
You probably don't have to do as much to your 05 as I had to do with my 02. Painting is gonna be the Big $$$ item for you. I'm here to tell you, if you like the Monte Carlo, if you Love your Monte, it's worth the time, effort and $$$!

I have to give thanks for MCF and it's members. Although I've been working on cars for 34 years, I've still learned a lot from the guys and gals on this site. And I've helped out when I can as well.
IMO, you have made 2 good choices. You bought a Monte and you joined MCF. YOU and your car will do just Fine!!!!!!

Hey Rick05 welcome! I just acquired my monte and will be spending a lot of time and effort to fix it up as well. No doubt these cars are going to be worth it though!
