Default Bob In Chicago

Im replacing valve cover gasket's on my 2000 S.S. my Favorite Car so far. Looking for little help/advise. I have front cover off and noticed the engine mount bolt is taped all the way through head and look's like oil was going up the threads and there Is oil on intake. should use a sealant on threads to stop this from happening again? Thank you all Bob

Yes a thread sealant can be used. Make sure the lim gaskets are not what's leaking though as there notorious for going bad.

Btw welcome to mcf!!
