Default Another 2nd Gen

Hi everyone.. Was looking for some other montes and came acoss this forum.. I have a 77 monte carlo that i've had for around 5 years. It was my first car and have put a lot of work into it. Here is some of the modifications i've done

1977 Monte Carlo Landau edition with around 150000 miles on the car.
Power Everything, seats steering etc.
Rebuilt the entire braking system
Interior is all original except I had the front bench seat done in cloth because leather sucks in hot weather.
electric fuel pump.
355 ci '85 four bolt main block
stock rods reconditioned with arp bolts and caps
The crankshaft is now the original one since old one was hurt.
speed pro flat top pistons with moly rings yields 9.1 CR
stock style oil pump with stock pan
vortec heads with valve guides and bosses cut down for clearance and upgraded seals and I also opened up the spring pockets for heavier valve springs which of course are competition cams too . they have 1.94 intake valves and 1.6 exhaust valves
Edelbrock performer RPM Air gap intake manifold with matching edelbrock 750 cfm carb. I have 14x5 inch k&n with X-tream k&n top.
I have comp cams 1.6 ratio pro mags rocker arms being pushed by comp cam push rods that run off of a comp cam 270 magnum with theoretical lift of about .501 its also been advanced 4 degrees through an edelbrock timing chain
Breathes out through 1 5/8 in flowtech headers with 2.5 in piping to 3 in cutouts then to Magnaflow mufflers .
Transmission is a rebuilt stock unit with a B&M torque converter that stalls 2500 RPM
Out back the 8 and 1/2 in rear houses 3.73 richmond gears and a richmond ratcheting locker.
The car itself weighs about 4500 lbs with me in it and no spare tire
Tires are on cheap nomad chrome 15by7s with cheap 255 70's on the rear and 235 70's in the front
With this engine it ran a traction limited 14.60 @ 95 mph
Its not the fastest nor gets any respect but at its current stage its fun, i'm excited to see what happens next time at the track with some drag radials and a timing gun.14-14.3 range. I've probably forgotten half the stuff i've done and still have tons to do to it.So thanks for checking this out and hope to see more of everybodys rides.

Welcome Cody! Glad to see another second gen here! Sounds like you've got yourself quite a Monte. I am the current owner of a 76 Landau that I've had for almost 6 years and love it. I've done some mods to the car...

-350 crate motor
-ram air box
-rebuilt TH-350 w/ TCI 2000-stall converter
-OEM 3.73 gears w/ Eaton posi
-Headers and dual exhaust
-15x7 Rally's w/ BFG Radial T/As

I'm getting set to have paint and body work done along w/ a new vinyl top, complete front suspension rebuilt w/ the PST super polygraphite front end kit, Ground Zero springs and fiberglass hood.

I've only been able to reach 15.014 @ 90.95 MPH in the 1/4 mile due to traction issues. I know my car is a solid high 14 second car, so we'll see what I'll be able to accomplish this year.
