Haha the back seat room thing is a big plus. And check how much more insurance is on the supercharged one compared to the N/A. Because im guessing you wont turbo for a few years atleast.

Well if I remember what my friend told me, I think his is pushing like 200hp, but it fells more than that, because my 96 pushes almost 220hp and his takes off the line quicker, but we have never raced each other, my cousin had a gran prix gtp supercharged, he hated it he only had the car for a month and he got rid of it and got a G35, my monte took off quicker than it, and his also had a governer chip, so if my 5th gen can beat the gran prix, than a 6th gen will too.

Yeah and since the most Monte's have leather interior, things just wipe right off!! :P lol jk, but yeah insurance is really cheap on a monte, with my accident I only pay $120 a month, without it I would only have to pay $80 a month.

The SS supercharged 6th gens are about a second and a half faster to 60 than the n/a 6th gens and about a second quicker in the quarter mile. Let me tell you now that if you start doing burnouts with it, you better be prepared to have the transmission rebuilt. I do not recommend doing more than the occasional burnout or you will fry your tranny. The SS supercharged montes had the beefier transmission but they will still fry if you abuse it.

i dont really plan on doing frequent burnouts. but there are times when they are necessary haha.

but lets say i just hold the brake to about 2500 rpms and let it go and ful throtle, will i get some spin out of them or is the back of my head going to meet the headrest a little too hard

Put it in Second and turn off trac. control I believe is how my friend does it. He does quite often and surprisingly still has teeth on his monte which is an 02. Yes, the seats are very very comfortable in the back....indeed lol. The leather in the Montes are nice, but not nice at the same time, I wish all of it was real leather. Then again I polish the lug nuts.

Get what you can afford. The non-supercharged engine will be fine, as long as you are mechanically inclined, there is a huge aftermarket for it, and it's not hard to supercharge it later on down the line when you start to make money. It's reliable and amazing.

Welcome!

The Supercharged Grand Prix would be faster than a N/A 3800 Monte....Also, I am pretty sure the 98-99 5th gen Z34 with the 3.8L makes 200HP also.

You insurane will be through the roof for a 16 year old who just got his drivers license driving a Supercharged 2 door Monte Carlo. It will honestly probably be pretty expensive even on the N/A 3800 Monte...but not as bad. Plus as Taz mention the N/A 3800 runs on Regular gas, plus probably gets a few MPG better gas milage than the Supercharged....Don't get me wrong, if its all about power, and you have the money to back it up, get the supercharged. Otherwise, i'd get the N/A 3800.

No Monte, even the 5.3L V8 SS in the 06-07's is the fastest car out there, but even the N/A V6 Monte's are pretty damn quick. Personally I think they are a great combination of power, comfort, reliability, and yet still do decent at the pump.
