I have a 99 monte carlo and my friend has a 99 lumina his car developed a leak at 68,000 miles and needed head gaskets done my monte reached 65,00 miles developed same leak do I need head gaskets is there a recall?? someone told me it just needs intake gasket??? why do both leak we both had to replace alternators at 48,00 miles defective cars??? help help help if you can

GM has had some issues with crappy alternators & gaskets for quite a few years.

What leak are you speaking of? Where is it leaking?
