ok i have a 86ss with a 355 motor in it, well i bought it like this and seems like i bought someone elses trouble too. the only gauge that works is the speedo. no interior lights at all. no other guages work rpm oil gas etc.... also locks dont work. any info would help tremedously

Sounds like the circuit board on back side of instrument panel isnt plugged in. When inst panel is bolted to dash it should automatically be plugged in if its all lined up. U may have to pull it to check it out. If someone else had a project going they may have just slapped it together. When its not plugged in the only gauge that could work is speedo because its mechanical on cable. All lights and other gauges would cease to function. PDL may just be the plug that goes to fuse box lower right corner.
