Default 2007 heating problems

I have a 2007 that I am having heating problems with, I start the car up in the morning and let it warm up and when I get in the car it is still cold in the interior of the car although the temperature gauge is where it should be. When I start driving it it begins to warm up immediately, any ideas? also I have factory remote start on the vehicle and it quit working one day, I press the button on the key fob and the headlights just blink it no longer starts....? thank you.

I just went though the same dilemma a couple weeks ago, and found out my coolant was low. It's a little hard to see where the fill line is on our coolant containers so I would check that first.
