Welcome to the forum. The transmission we have in the 3.4 and 3.8 non supercharge engine is a 4t65e.

Are you going to do the install it yourself or have it put in for you? If you're having it installed you might want to price out having a complete rebuild. That way, you get all the up grands and a warranty. I recently had my 4t65e rebuilt and I love it. Plus, my guy does a check up after 2 weeks and gave me a 3 year/ 50k mile warranty. It cost me 2 grand but it was worth every penny.

Yes George, he gutted out my housing and put all new stuff in. Including a new trans cooler. I am moving to the Seattle area next summer. Before I go I will have him check out my Trans just for shins and nickles. It's not a T.E.P. unit, but he took care of all the inherent problems gm left in it. I still baby the car, except for exiting the toll both. But I know I don't have to any more!

Local junkyard would be first place to look. Just b careful getting one from there can be a gamble. And wow jc that's across the country. Hope that goes well
