Hello Chris from Ohio. Welcome to the Monte Carlo Forum. Nice to have another Intimidator owner join us.
To answer your # question, on my car there is a certificate of authenticity giving the serial # of the car. Mine is #3599 of 4000. Nothing anywhere on the car. There should be one for yours, also. I can't answer if GM can tell you that info, but you can try your dealer for for the build info that might have that. Also try Chevy customer service.
I was thinking there was only 2000 of yours made. I have guage cluster from the '02 Intimidator. Bought it for the speedo overlay, cooler than mine. Mine had just the signature.

This is actually the third monte carlo 7th generation that we have owned. Last year, I traded in an '03 SS with the same color scheme as the 02 Intimidator, black(only color meant for an SS), with silver ground effects, of course dual chrome tips, and a fine red line/stripe running along the break in the fender, which better highlights, and gives more definition to the body.
Our second, or first rather, was an '02 LS w/3.4L. My wife test drove it in '02, put 8 miles on the test drive, and titled it out at 11 mi. total. It WAS here baby. A week ago this past friday, coming home from work, and with our oldest daughter(15) in the passenger seat, had somebody turn early in front of them. She had no time to react, she glanced off of the other car at aprox. 48-50mph, ran off the road to the right, and nailed a hefty pine tree dead center. I am here to testify that I have both of em here and gonna be ok thanks to Airbags.
so we got lucky, cause one of the local dealers took in the 02 Intimidator, on trade, only 3 days ago,....

I totalled 2 '01 Impalas, the same car in 4 doors. 1st was at almost 80 on I-94, got left turned into. I spun, went off the road, and destroyed the bottom of the car, walked away. The big green dodge van blew a tire and rolled several times in front of me, backboarded him off. #2, I passed out from de-hydration, bounced off a BIG oak tree and into a tele' pole. Should've been dead. Guardian angels. I feel safe in these cars, with the magnesium cross beam behind the dash and the air bags, that saved my life. I made sure this one had the 3rd drivers side impact air bag, also. Hard to find option, only about 1 in 10 have it. I have active Onstar, also.
I was thinking we just had a post with production #'s on all of the signature cars, but I can't find it.

Here's the post you were referring to.

It was originally posted by rj in the "One more angle" thread in the "General Monte Carlo Talk" forum.

The MSN site is nice. I think I've looked it over before?

I don't get where they consider the '06 SS a limited production car?
Are there any numbers to support this or is it just the fact it was a V8 Monte they listed it?

WELCOME TO MCF!!!

You can email here with your VIN and question and they'll get back to you: cac@chevrolet.com

I got the following email:

Thank you for contacting the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center. We appreciate you taking the time to write us in regards to what is the production number for your 2004 Monte Carlo equipped with the Intimidator package.

Per our records there were only 4,000 vehicles made with this package and I am happy to say that your vehicle was number 18.

If you would like a duplicate window sticker Triple A Enterprises can provide window stickers ranging back to 1959 for passenger cars only. Exceptions to this include 1981 to current model Corvettes and all Cadillac models excluding the Allante (window stickers are available for the Allante). For the Corvette, use such resources as the Corvette Museum directly).

I hope this information is useful!

If you should need to contact us in the future, simply reply to this message or call our Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-222-1020. Customer Relationship Managers are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Eastern Time.

Again, thank you for contacting Chevrolet.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Pizarro
