Default 2001 Monte Carlo

Hi: My name is Scott M. My mom has a 2001 Monte Carlo SS. She is getting older and her eyes are going bad, she is getting afraid to drive the car. She is afraid she is going to get in a wreck. Anyway she has a 2001 Black Monte Carlo SS Limited Edition model. It is in mint condition with 20,000 miles on it. She bought it new and has taken very good care of the car. When I mean mint I mean mint. She has taken it to the dealer for the two recalls and has the oil changed every 3000 mi. I was wondering what the car is worth? I am in CA.

I would check on your local Craigs list to see what prices others have on the Montes they are selling and also KBB.com. Should give you a good starting point.

As Barbara said KBB is a good place to look, but also take the NADA price into account. KBB generally is on the higher side, while the NADA is generally more "realistic", at least IMO.

We have a thread about this topic stickied in the general section that gives a lot of detailed information on how to figure out the answer to this question. Here's the link:
What is my Monte/Car Worth?

You are best doing some market research on other cars in your area.
