Default 2001 MC SS starting problem

I have had this problem since I bought the car but now am getting sick of it. First off, when you go to start it for the first time of the day or after it has sat awhile it will fire right up. But, if you shut it down and try to start it right back up or while its still warm you almost have to give it a small amout of gas pedal or it will not start. Help?

I had a simular problem awhile back on our 02 Chevy venture. Turned out all I had to do was change the head gaskets. I had antifreeze dripping into one cylinder and it made the engine run like crap till it all burned off.
Im not saying thats your problem, Im just saying theres alot that can go wrong. Without being under the hood its hard to say what it could be.

Default trouble codes

take it to a dealer or someone with a diagnostic scanner...check for codes... it sounds like a bad throttle position sensor....but again it should have a trouble code if its bad....i was a mechanic a while back...for 20 years...ase cert.

Default Starting Problem

From what you say, it is almost as if you are not getting enough fuel. Maybe the fuel filter?
