Welcome to the site. Did you have the light reset and it came back on? I'm not sure about the airbag light. I think you need a tech 2 scanner to scan for the airbag codes.

My first Monte was also a 74, bought it in 77. I wanted a Camaro but my older brother thought it would get me in trouble and was co-signing so I got my Monte.

It was a good car and one of two cars I owned for over three years.

This is going to be tough since you have an engine swapped car. Did you purchase the o2 sensor for the 2005 Monte or your 2000 Monte?

What code is being thrown? Could be a wiring issue.

The airbag light might need a real mechanic diagnosis. I'm curious to know if the car is trying to find the seat airbag.
