I am newly registered but have lurked at this excellent site in the past.


I am old(er) and I am the original owner of a 2004 Monte Carlo LS just about to turn 56K miles. The only problem I have ever had was to replace the ignition switch when it got stuck several years ago. As they are known to do.... other than that, just regular oil change, etc.


My car is still very beautiful. It is the silver with the grey interior. Due to recently moving to a different location - I am going to need to get an AWD vehicle. So my Monte will need to be either sold or traded.


As soon as I can figure out the site, I will put it in "Classified". I would love to see a Monte enthusiast get this car!

I also has the ignition cylinder issue.

Yes, I am sad that I will no longer be a Monte owner. But I really, really need 4WD due to a move to a new location up in an area of much greater snow that we get where I live now.
