**Brakes**

I'm very happy running centric performance rotors with ac delco pads.
I tried the drilled/slotted stuff and they cracked and ate through my inner pads in under a year, and I hardly drive this car.
These are the rotors I'm running:
Front:
Rear:

Oh yea also if you can when you buy the new rotors keep the boxes and put your old ones in them, put them aside somewhere and put a reminder on your phone so just before the warranty expires you can go back to the store you bought them from and tell them they're wrapped and you don't know which one so you want all four replaced (FREE) then set those aside for the next brake job. I do this with all my cars usually a $200-300 saving depending on the car.

Thanks for the responses guys, I've heard the AC Delco are like the "stock" brands for the MC's, is this a known fact. My goal is to keep things running stock as opposed to a different brand. Also I hear a squealing noise when I turn the wheel, coming from my drivers front wheel, could this be the brakes/rotors going bad??

I prefer and use Wagner Thermo-quiet pads. Work very well when all hot, great stopping power.
If your low on power steering fluid it may make a squeal when turning to the max deflection.
Also use drilled and slotted rotors, they do chew up brake pads. Guess it depends how aggressive on drives their car. NON-drilled rotors tend to warp when you push then to the limits a few dozen times, least my OEM's did.

I put 2002 Camaro Calipers & brake pads on my 2005 Monte carlo SS
the pads are 1 1/2 times bigger an the calipers have two pistons..
Top pad is stock 2005 Monte Carlo SS
bottom pad is 2002 Camaro

Bought my '00 SS new. After 125,000 (mostly city) miles on my '00 SS the OEM AC Delco front rotors and pads are almost worn out. Already have identical replacements.
I agree with Zippy and Habbibie on the squeal. I would suspect the power steering pump/fluid. Check the fluid level. If it's low, suck out what's left with a turkey baster and replace it with new. Check for hose leaks.

My OEMs did too, these centric ones have been doing a great job.
