NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
Brad Keselowski was the surprise pole winner Friday at New Hampshire with a 133.572 mph lap. Keselowski led the opening lap Sunday and finished 18th. Tony Stewart took the lead on lap two. The first caution came when Scott Speed got into the wall on lap 25. Clint Bowyer took just two new tires and came out of the pits as the leader while Stewart got four new tires and dropped to 18th. On lap 41, Paul Menard and Marcos Ambrose had contact. Bowyer continued to lead and also after stops for a debris caution. With 93 laps to go, Mark Martin had a tire come apart, forcing a yellow. On the restart, Stewart and Bowyer bumped as did Kyle Busch and Jimmie Johnson. Carl Edwards bumped Denny Hamlin into a spin. Hamlin went from fourth place to 22d but pitted for the last time in the race. With 77 laps left, Kurt Busch had contact with Jeff Burton and, behind them, Kyle Busch and Johnson got together and spun. Stewart and Bowyer stayed out while others pitted. Keselowski tagged Matt Kenseth into the wall. With 59 laps to go, Kurt Busch banged Joey Logano into the wall and Elliott Sadler spun to avoid them. Stewart took the lead from Jamie McMurray with 52 laps remaining. Seven laps later, Johnson pitted under green with a loose wheel. With less than two laps remaining, Burton ran out of gas, and then leader Stewart did the same coming off turn four toward the white flag. Bowyer stretched his fuel to get the win.

On a lap 166 restart, Buescher dove low from third place on a restart to take the lead when Kevin Harvick slid high and pushed Busch up the track. Harvick finished third. Been there, done that

Don't be surprised Tony Stewart took his deflating finish in stride at New Hampshire. Mark Aumann says the same thing happened in '99 and Smoke used it as motivation.

.060 out of tolerance with something in the rear end assembly. Childress claims it must have happened when the tow truck pushed him to victory lane. NASCAR is just crazy about this stuff. NASCAR says they warned Childress last week.
