Woooooo hooooo - it's Talladega baby! It going to be a great race today! I looking for the best race of the season today. It's pretty much the season finale anyways - by the end of the day we'll likely know who's the Champion. This race will be Juniors beat crack at a win, so I'm liking your picks 'Space.
Your a really Logano fan, huh? Did you see him a WWE RAW this week (along side Kyle Busch)? They came out to ringside in there special scheme Nationwide cars, and when they got out Logano was visably nervous. Surprisingly, he sounds better than Busch on the mic - Busch almost froze on the mic in front of the live crowd. Joey looked like a kid goofing around - he is!
Anyway, back to Junior. He may be having a bad year, but let's not forget how close he came to winning Talladega earlier this year (finished 2nd). Newman blew that for them on the back stretch by racing the slow groove. Junior had no choice to follow, but Dale even said that when Newman chose that groove he knew someone was going to go blasting by. Jr knows how to run here.
Martin has to run well. I don't know what more I can say about that. Except that Jimmie has to run bad. It's Talladega - a wild race that is hard to pick because anything really can happen. That's why I love it. Max Papis could win. I'd pick him over Menard.
I try to be original, but you can't beat this combo:
1. Dale Jr.
2. Mark Martin
&
3. AJ Almendinger (there's gotta be a dark horse in there somewhere)
1st caution caused by Robby Gordon
# of cautions: 8
Last place: Joe Nemechek
...and one more important pick this week! Who is going to start the big one?
My pick is Juan Pablo Montoya (taking out Jimmie Johnson!) I'll go even further and predict 11 cars to be involved

In the end it was a good Talladega race. It was full of excitement. Everybody got a peak at the win. As far as the championship is concerned, consider it over. The math currently says that even if Martin were now to win every race, Jimmie needs to only finish 10th every race to secure it. Its secure. I thought the footage of Martin going over from Jr. bumper cam was an awesome shot - looked very Hollywood. It was a good way to announce the end of the championship run.
Sorry you missed that one Britney - it was a great one. Unfortunately they did not race to the line and the checkered flag, which is the only reason previous Talladega races (like Keselowski's spring win) will be remembered more.
