LOL `Chris, What do you think ?
I think Kevin has a Shot, but it depends on what type of gun he has

Time shall answer your question, but I think he can, I think he can `if he has the car/talent/team/luck....
It should be a close one this year....Hope you and members enjoy the last few races....
p.s. I hope it's a Chevy Win : )

I'd say Harvick still has a chance.
Nascar botched the end of that one too. First of all, my understanding is that when they wreck on the last lap, if the wreck is behind everyone (meaning nobody will be collected), they are supposed to race to the line. (which is how Harvick beat Martin in the Daytona 500 a few years ago - even though the wreck was on track and collecting cars!) As a result of them ending the race in turn one they never figured out anybody's correct finishing. Bowyer won being pushed by Reutimann. Harvick second being pushed by Peblo. So how the hell did Peblo beat Reutimann? Was Bowyers car longer then Harvicks? Martin was on Jimmie bumper pushing him, but Martin finished 4 positions behind him.
It was too bad for Junior, but he still showed why I like the guy. He was honest and apologetic. Not delusional like many drivers. He accepted the blame for him wrecking Burton and himself, even thou there was hardly an error there. I think back to Indy this year, when Peblo took the nose off Juniors car crossing the track trying to get to pit row (after hit the wall by himself). When the camera's were in his face he didn't have one word to say about ending Juniors good run - didn't even acknowledge it. Some drivers are all about themselves. Not Junior.
It was a great race, but totally anti-climatic ending

Yes, I was confused by the ending of the race....I was tired and MRN stated that Kevin won the race, and then he didn't...
I was listening on the radio & did not see the finish, but just heard it...
I agree with your recap on Dale Jr and appreciate his truthfulness when he makes a mistake...I was excited with the way he was driving and hoping that he would've won : )
Joey L., is proving each time he races that he is capable of running with the BigBoys

NASCAR does have to get their `it 2gether on their rulings
4-Sure....I'm still confuzed, but that's normal 4 me...
Thanks again `Duane for starting the thread...Until next week...Countdown 2 the End of the `RaceGame : )

Pablo was pushing the 33, and Reutiman was pushing Harvick.
I think we can solve the whole problem with this scoring. I miss the racing back to the line, but when you have cars wrecked at the finish line, it can be dangerous racing past them to get to the line, plus you can get another accident and pile a car into a guy who is halfway unbuckled and get him killed (solution: don't get out of the car until they stop, but if someone is hurt...)
So my solution is this. We draw lines coming off turn 2, halfway down the straightaway, at the entrance to 3, of of 4, and entering the trioval. Whenever there is an accident, you are racing to the line that the leader crossed first when the caution came out. In this case, the line would be the one coming off turn 2, so you're racing to the back straightaway, basically.
