Points, Intro, Congratulatory Remarks
Congrats to montecarlo3831, Chris, for winning that Kansas race as it came down to the wire, with Brent and myself expecting to win taht thing!! But it wasn't meant to be. Brent, however, holds that points lead.
For a full stats rundown of this season, see this thread.

Defending Winner montecarlo3831, who looks to make it two in a row while defending his win from last year!
This Week in Richmond
A big week for us here at Richmond on the MCF!!! Richmond has become a track that will either be extremely exciting or boring. Richmodn went a few eyars back with like 3 cautions and 150 laps to teh end, with JGR running top 3.
So it's going to be a big week. Brent is the front runner, Carl, butch, and bblackstone could be the underdogs to win segment 1
Joe Gibbs Racing
I don't normally cover this team first, but I will this week. Kyle Busch has ahd a terrible season, but he ran 10th at one of his worst 1.5's last week. This week, he goes to a track where he has won on his birthday! Denny Hamlin has won two races on relatively flat tracks. Richmond is a great track for him this week too!!!
Michael Waltrip Racing
Clint Bowyer is another solid driver on a flat track. He has a new drive this year and that TRD power, although that TRD is unreliable. I do'nt see Richmond being hard on teh engines though. Martin Truex is descent this year, but driving better this year too than he ever has. 2nd in points nad going to a good track is good for him.
Whoever is in the 55 will be solid too.
Hendrick Motorsports
Jeff Gordon is probably the best and most consistent driver at this track in this stable. However, Dale Jr., in order to properly break that winless streak, has to do it in the south. And where better than the former capital of the Confederacy? Richmond absolutely adores Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jimmie Johnson is inconsistent at Richmond, but Kasey Kahne has won here too... Kahne is having more bad luck this year.
Stewart Haas Racing
I don't think of Stewart Haas at Richmond... Stewart won his first race here 13 years ago (has it been that long? I became a fna of him that night and dropped him in 2002 when he became an @$$hole). Newman is just hard to gauge.. yet he is 10th in points right now.
Richard Childress
Harvick really ran an okay race and got a 6th place run out of it. He wasn't that great all day. He had his teammate pull a caution for him to win this race last fall. But I just don't know what to think of Chidlress. I thin ktheir competition director going to Waltrip hurt them . I just don't think this is the team to contend for a lot of wins and championships this year right now.
Roush Fenway Racing
I don't think of Roush Fenway Racing when I think of short, flat tracks like Richmond. Edwards won the pole last year, but I don't think the Ford's will be major threats next week. Look for Kenseth and BIffle to sneak into the Top 10.
Pensek Racing
The fuel pick up shouldn't be a problem on a flat track. Plus, these tracks aren't hard on teh engines iether. I think that Keselowski will be one to watch this week, but I just don't see a Dodge threatening for a win right now.
Petty Motorsports
I just don't see much out of this team... they're struggling with Roush's left over materials. Ambrose is descent enough on these flat tracks to possibly scratch a top 10 though.
Earnhardt Ganasssi
Nothing to talk about in my opinion.
My Picks
I've got to do something different... yet at the same time, do what Idid that got me in trouble at Kansas. Pick Toyotas.
1) Denny Hamlin
2) Kyle Busch
3) Martin Truex, Jr
An all Toyota team. First time I've ever done that, and possibily, with maybe the exception of silverfish, the first time anyone has taken an all Toyota team. I just think the momentum and the track is right for these drivers right now.

jr has won at richmond 3 times buddy, 2000,2004,2006
#14
yeah he used to dominate everytime they went to richmond. i hope he gets back on track there where he starts running in the top-5 at richmond.
#15
I will challenge the "always dominated" part... he had a few good runs, but he was never a dominant factor at Richmond. Just a good driver there. One who was in the hunt. Not the dominant driver for as many years as his wins imply.
#16
It was a good track for Junior. It was a good track. I used to always want to go to Richmond for a race. It was on the bucket list. But races have all sucked there for at least the last 3 years. I won't be saying that if Junior can win one this one tho.
The only track I have known Junior to dominate was Talledega. I can't wait for Talledega. The racing there never sucks...

I just love a good critic.......hehehehehehehe
#18
not being a critic lol just pointing it out, i love stats i look at stats about jr everyday just to try and memorize what he has done and show people he is a better driver than what they think.
