I am surprised that I took seg 2 back. gordon pit at end I thought finished me.

 

I stayed in the same spot in the overall standings but I slid back in the segment.

 

Well, I just finished watching...

That was stupid of me for waiting for the wife. She had someone drop her off at home around 6:30, so that was awesome. I didn't have to wait any longer or pick her up. Unfortunately, she was tanked and just kept carrying on about how she was screwed out of winning the women's longest drive contest (even though she never saw this other drive that beat her). She was obnoxious, didn't give a crap about the race and even after I started the race from the beginning, she was passed out before lap 1.

The funnier part was that I still cracked another-to-pound on lap 1 (of our re-broadcast) and the sound woke her up and she demanded a beer. She cracked it and passed out again. Later my 3 yr old Jerrica would spill that one on the carpet.

Anyways, about the race...

I understood that it was Jr vs Hamlin for the top stop all along (points wise for me). Congrats adgm2005!

I was pissed at Junior for overpitting again. But Nascar did really drag out those cautions. I expected someone to be able to make it on fuel - thats how races are won. But nobody ran out, and that's not quite right. Junior should have won, but did an impressive job salvaging the race with an extra stop. Jeff Gordon was right there with him on the lap stop and ended up in 19th. Jimmie was damn fast too. Junior's post race interview was the worst! But the extra caution laps were obviously eating at him too...

So Logano get his first real win. Congrats, I guess. Too bad he couldn't get it without slamming into the back of Mark Martin in the corner. I think Logano could end up with a villainish perception if he was more successful. Mark was a gentlemen and dodged the question post race. Damn - a bridesmaid again!!! That is the 7th second place at Pocono for Martin, yet he has still never won at the track!

 

I think posting a picture of your wife passed out is a fitting punishment for her cruelty to you!

So did Jerrica drop the beer as she passed out of boredom or drunkenness or what?


It is ironic that Logano did a bump and run to, of all people, Mark Martin. I wondered if maybe Logano got the air off of Martin. That's not a good person to do that to. The only thing that would have been worse is had he done that Dale Jr, he wouldn't make it out of town if he did that in Charlotte, I promise your that. He probably lost some respect... maybe gained some. Now we just need Dennis Hamlin to get those cinder blocks out and start dumping Brad KEslowski again.... then Joe Gibbs can take the Professional Badass of the year award away from James Finch Racing.

 

wow I hope michigan will be better for me. I'll never gain on the leaders with that kind of finish.

Wow, i moved up 2 spots in the over all standing and im amazed i only dropped to 2nd in the segment. Guess it wasn't such a bad week after all.
