No Ive never been a real fan of Burton either.

 

I'm sure Burton will go easy on the car and bring it home in one piece. That might be all they were going for. Regan Smith was probably a better choice, but double duty is tough this week at 2 different tracks with some schedule overlap. So nobody running the Nationwide Championship would have been readily available.

Burton was certainly a better choice than Peblo!

 

If you want in on the nationwide race, it needs to be before 2:45 PM EDT.

I'd love to see more people in on this.

So there really wasn't much of a decision to make. In a little more than an hour I'll be rollin' out to MIS in the BudChev. It's the reigning Monte of the Year - I can't leave it a home! But I do think this is the swan song for the BudChev road trips. I said after I bought the Gen 6 Ford that the Monte could enjoy semi-retirement. It has been to a lot of races before. I've driven it up and down the country to Daytona, Talladega when Jr still drove the a Bud Chev. It's been to MIS many times and Charlotte and Pocono. But it hasn't exactly been good luck for Jr - it has never been at the track for a Jr win. Neither have I! So that's why it's important for Jr to win today!

Today is the day the BudChev turns 88,888 and it has one last chance to join JrNation in victory
