I picked Carl in the poll. Only Carl. He`ll win the MCF Championship too - a higher honor then the Sprint Cup!
Nobody answered my question in last weeks thread. I would have liked to make it a poll.
Am I the only one who thinks Pony Stewart is cheating?
Think about this one. The guy only won once in the last 2 years before the Chase began. He has been way stronger then any of the Hendrick powered cars, including his own team mate Newman. Nobody has ever been shut out for the season, then won 4 Chase races - and truth be told, he dominated 6 of those races barely losing Phoenix or Charlotte. Only a few races before the Chase, Stewart was running 4 laps down at Bristol - not because he had an incident, but because he simply wasn't running that good.
All of a sudden, the Chase begins and inspite no personnel changes over at Stewart-Haas, Pony can hardly lose. He was practically the worst seeded driver. And honestly, even if Junior (who had a better season than Stewart) started running this well in the Chase, I would suspect him of cheating too.
I am convinced Stewart found something to give himself a little extra. And either NASCAR has not figured it out, or they are turning a blind eye to it. Which NASCAR will maintain now - there is no way they will strip Pony of the Championship if he wins it. Even if his engine dyno's 100hp over they won't touch him. They broke rules and jeopardized fan safety to give him that Talledega win over Regan Smith. They won't revoke a Championship.
Am I crazy here? Or does anyone else see what I see?
Anyways, if I am to disregard "the fix", Homestead is a very Ford dominant track. I can't see Pony beating Carl here unless Pony's heanchman Newman takes Carl out. I'll pick all Ford's for now...
1. Dale Jr.
2. Carl Edwards
3. AJ Allmendinger
... I changed them...

Good point. Even my son ask if Nascar was fixed. It is very hard to believe someone can run so crappy all year and now run like he is. There is always a conspiracy theory. Seems like some people think I have a shot at knocking Duane off the top..Keep that good MOJO coming. Still undecided as to who I am picking this weekend but they better be good since Duane refuses to draw out of his hat again. This could really be an interesting race. First I thought Carl would play it cool, but neither him or Tony can afford to. That leaves us here, if one crashes or blows, the other has it locked up and will not race for it and endanger himself, but if no trouble, could be heck of a battle if they are both running as they have been, I dont know who to pick. Be back in the minute with my picks.
OK here they are, Duane is going all Fords, I am going all Chevys
1. Jeff Gordon-Time he shows he still has it and gets momemtum for Daytona-nothing to lose now
2. Jimmie Johnson-Pissed he isnt Mr 6 time HAHAHAHA, someone elses turn-also nothing to lose
3. Kevin Harvick- Just because he's happy and nothing to lose now
Goin for the racers this week. Sorry to ramble on, but
IT'S ON NOW DUANE and CHRISTIAN

Reality is, Chris has nearly the same chance as Jerry. He's 25 out vs. Jerrys 18 out. All he needs is for a really solid run.
For me, all I need is a 115 point week to seal the deal, then no matter what the rest of you guys do, I'm the champ, but a perfect week has only been achieved once.
Goodness knows, for me, I wish Phoenix had gone a lot better for this guy. But for the sake of a tight battle, I'm glad it happened.
JuniorCar, I don't know... Stewart has been known to pull off late season streaks. He won 3 races in the last 10 races in 1999 as a rookie, he won 5 races in the last 12 or so in 2000 or 2001, and he went on a tear in '05 to win the title that year. So it doesn't surprise me that he is suddenly hot... but you do bring valid points.
RPM is a subsidary of Roush, and they figured ou the front end geometry for the 1.5 program that is part fo the success of Roush this yea.r

AP
And Then There Were Two
Three points separate Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart atop the Sprint Cup standings, so both are on the same mission -- win Sunday's finale.
Who'll win the championship (and why)

Well practice was rained out... probably going to be in the morning. Pretty crazy start. Wweatehr should be clear if we can make it through tonight!
Wonder if my friend who works at Richard Childress is in any danger... doubt it, he just works in the parts section, but you never know!
