Pretty interesting race... Ford's are tearing it up. I thought I had jinxed the Ford's when I ahd taken the ignition coil off my Torino to paint it like an OEM coil, then ruined a $50 part by overtightening a bolt and pulling the stud right out of my ignition coil... looks like completing the exterior of my dad's new Fairlane brought them good luck. Kasey Kahne isn't doing well, brent was right about him....

funny events so far too... Jamie McMurry blew up immediately after being passed for the lead, Menard loses control all on his own.... only place we should look for Martin Truex now is in National Auto Parts Association commercials.

Thanks Jerry. I painted it myself... first car I ever paitned by myself too. Had been supervised on every other job. Dad was on the road and I painted it in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, actually.

If Brent likes wrecks, he's getting them. His man, Mark Martin just wrecked though. Youch.

It's not a good day to be a parts store. Truex was taken out earlier by Menard... Martin taken out by Gilliland... NAPA and Carquest are done for the day.

 

nice looking fairlane Duane, are you gonna make a thread about it? the paint looks good too nice job and sorry about the coil I learned that lesson long ago on a GM starter, Cracked the whole thing.
Pretty good race so far, I just wonder why the announcers need to see seven replays befor they notice what really happened?

 

And I just know Brent was happy to see his buddy Pyle Busch go through the grass!!! It seems like I've watched Carl Edwards be near a lot of wrecks tonight.... Martin and Gilliland, near Busch, he was near someone near the beginning of this race... near McMurray when he blew up, near Bowyer when Bowyer almost wrecked at Dover....

Plus, I can't count how many times I've seen the 99 pass the 18 tonight. Makes you wonder why in the world the 18 keeps ending up in front of hte 99.

I might actually just make one big thread about the Fairlane once it's done... we've got to get some carpet in this thing.

 

Q: What's better than watching Kyle Busch spin out once?

A: Watching him spin a second time and actually damage his car this time.
