For the first time in years, maybe ever, I'm not really looking forward to the Daytona 500. I love this new car... but I just can't excited about riding in a line. It looks like the racing we saw in the late 90s before they changed the package to the one that Earnhardt got killed under...
If it gives anyone hope, do recall that the first time they went to Talladega in October 2007 with the COT, everyone got in a single file line and rode around the outside wall of the track. I remember Tony Stewart asking the team to throw an iPod in the car for him on the next pit stop.
The COT did get better wtih tiem... they discovered 2 car drafts. Then they broke it up. I think the teams will figure out how to make these cars run on the bottom.... but the ones who know the trick are apparently scared to show it before money day.
Still... I'm not lookign forward to the learning curve. Hopefully Phoenix and Las vegas have tighter racing and passing.

Yikes. How about we bring back the cot just for restrictor plate racing?
. We had both pack and 2 car racing. Or I have said it before and ill say it again. Bring back the 01 aeropackage with the roof splitter. The racing isn't dangerous. It was thew cars that were . Rip dale.
