Nascar has not been stock car racing for many years.

When was the last time you could buy
1. V-8 Camry (they dont even make a v-8 for it)
2. 351 V-8 Ford Fusion
3. 350 V-8 Monte or Impala
4. 350 V-8 Dodge

Nascar has not been in there rules since they started down sizing the cars in the 70's early 80's
and as far as I know all the above cars are front wheel drive. Again early 80's.
Yeap, I remember the 70's and 80's when you had to use a stock block and some other piece of stock eqipment. I believe it was the trunk lid.

Theythrew those rules out the window. But I did see a CNN report that the final stock piece of stock equipment, the floor pan, has now been deleted to save weight.

Did anyone see the Busch race where they changed the pitting rule on the fly and a lot of teamsgot ticked-off?

They forgot to change the entry light to green and some teams stayed out and they reset all the teams back to their order before the pit light problem.

Some of the teams lost some of the places they gained and complained about NASCAR not following their own rules.

Mark Donohue called it "the unfair advantage." And those of us who have been around racing for longer than, oh? five minutes, know that racers will sell their soul to find that winning edge. Even if it means breaking the...

personally i love this new look, ive had the same wing on my monte for along time now. but the downside is now im catching greif by people sayin i m copying nascar when i had the same look long b4 nascar went for it. we just have to admit that this new young punk that took over nascar is gonna make it a tuner sport, all we can do is hope for the best but expect the worst.

I didn't mean it to sound that I didn't like the new look. In fact I'd love an 07 2-door RWD Impala SS.

I think it would be super awesome to have "Back In The Day" exhibition races where everyone drives a real 1st Gen Monte or Galaxie 500 or Superbird again.
