It might be different if RCR was adding a superskilled and accomplished driver like Jimmie Johnson or Mark Martin - guys with great track records. But Casey Mears and Paul Menard have always been plugs. Hell, at least Casey Mears had won before, but he's still a plug.
But its neat that a member picked Menard. I guess I'll have to eat a hat or something if Menard wins. Menard has never posted a top 10 at Bristol and has an average finish of 22.9. Not bad for Menard

Alright... got picks in for 8 of our 10 regular members... awaiting picks from RocknSS (wayne) and BocaReject. They are 3rd and 1st in poitns respectively, so if they don't make it in, we could have some interesting new names at the top of the leaderboard!

By the way, anyone catch this drama with Jennifer Jo Cobb yesterday? What the heck happened there? Her team owner supposebly told her like 10 minutes before the race that she was expected to start and park after she had already bought tires for a whole race. The owner threatened to have the car black flagged if she iddn't pull in, so she climbed out of the car and stormed off like 3 minutes before the command to fire engines.

Truex admitted he was at fault. His car got a little loose and Danica wasn't giving him much room off the second turn. She paid the price. Just a racing incident, but it was good to see Ryan admit and apologize. Danica was mad, but I don't think she did anything crazy.

The JJC incident yesterday was kinda neat! I can't blame her for not wanting to take her career in that direction. It seems once your a start-and-parker you never go back. She says it was a contract breach on the car owners part. I think she had more then 3 minutes of warning - something like an hour. I hadn't heard that she bought the tires either. But she did spend a weekend practicing and building towards a race that she was denied unknownly and everybody deserves better then that.
