just got back from the 500

I got back earlier today from the 500 and i have to say that, with the exclusion of the last 20 laps, was boring as hell. I drive wreckers for nascar and have seen my fair share of 500's and this one was a snoozer, oh and you know that first caution for debris about 80 laps in? yeah there was no debris. atleast i had the gold pace cars next to me for the race.

Yea NASCAR just threw that caution to bring the pack back together. IMO they where trying to cause a wreck instead of prevent one. They also knew how boring the race was. These IROC cars will be the death of NASCAR.

great pictures.. and I agree this new car is crap. you can't even block now... if you can't even block, it's not even NASCAR. you're better off to just hope you get the momentum back and go back to the lead in 3-4 laps. i'm really losing some of my interest in NASCAR, and I've been a devout fan since I was 9

Great pics!!!

So far I have only been to 1 Daytona 500 and that was waaaay back in '94. I won a Daytona 500 package from Chevrolet that included infield,garage area & pit area access prior to the race. Our seats were just past the start/finish line(Fireball Roberts Section)nearthe top so we were able to see the entire track. So far I've been to Watkins Glen,Pocono,Atlanta,Daytona & Lowes. This season I'll be at the fall race at Dover and I'm going to do the Allstar Race/Coke 600 week at Lowes in May and the October Lowes race also.. My son lives about 20 minutes from Lowes so we make it to all the races there

!!!!
