But here is your photo of the day. The Junior Johnson crew working on Lee Roys Ford Torino in 1968. Please notice the Radio Flyer pit wagon and a guy working inside the trunk... lol.

Man... my dad got his drivers license in Florida in '68 and my mom was still living on a farm in the backwoods of Carolina. They both had a bad marriage and many years and a blind date to go before they would ever think of having me!

Its a cool shot - you can see the entire field with a good close-up too.

Do they even make mercurys anymore?

I havent even heard that name in eons!

Is Riverside one of the tracks that they closed down? I wonder if it's still there or if they tore it up

I was at that race. I believe Ray Elder won.
