With the 'Race on Sunday, Sell on Monday' mentality at the time I think the cars kinda give away the year the race was run. 
A little extra trivia - The race was won by Petty driving a '57 Olds.

Here is Richard PEtty in victory lane celebrating his win in the 1969 Nashville 400.... his 99th career win if I have the order right in my head. He got #100 at Bowman Gray, a quarter mile track in Winston Salem, about 3 weeks later.
Looks like a Don Hunter photo....

I'm going to try to do this every day until we get to Daytona... post a classic NASCAR picture every day and give a little caption. Most of htese come from my Facebook sources. If anyone would like to join that group, please let me knwo and I can add you on Facebook to a group called "NASCAR History Until 1972" and me and some buddies I've fuond through the internet share this stuff back and forth. Igather much of this from them.
