Default Wiring Diagram for 99 monte Carlo

Not sure where I needed to post this.
If it's in the wrong place.

I am having a problem with a 99 monte carlo. The speedometer and tachometer quit working. I checked all fuses and the fuse by the passenger door. I think its marked 39. Its called ignition feed fuse. or something similiar. (a 10 amp fuse) was blown. I replaced it and when I started the car, the tach moved, then promptly blew the fuse again. Does anyone have a wiring diagram that might help me locate this wire?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had time to work on it a little this afternoon. I traced the problem to a wiring harness that connects to the brake light switch to the brake pedal.

When this connector is disconnected.
The speedo and tach work fine.
But, i have a brake trouble light on the dash.

anyone run into this before?

I've never heard of that before. But it sounds like you are on the right track eliminating the problem down to the brake light switch. Obviously there is a short somewhere in that circuit. I'd start there and see if you can track down where the short is in the brake circuit.
