Default Windshield wiper not working (passenger side only)

2000 Monte Carlo ss

Has anyone had problems with only one wiper working? My passenger side wiper only moves 3 inches while driver side works perfectly.

Well that is odd really. Seeing there is only 1 motor for the wipers. So there must be an issue with your Arm for that side. It could be binding or broken. I guess it also could be that splines that the wiper sits on is bad or if it isn't one like that but has a screw that holds it on

At the base of the wiper arm is a black cap covering a nut. Pop the cap off (may need a small flat head screw driver) and ensure the nut is tight. If it's not tight, the wiper is probably moving just enough until the weight of the arm cannot handle it.
It's an easy, fist place to check.

Thanks for the reply. I got it figured out, my wiper was frozen to my windshield, and when I turned it on It filled the splines with aluminum. Cleaned it out, and it was working fine.
