7th Gen ('06-'07): Will start if I disconnect and reconnect.
Greeting fellow MC owners. Tried to to start the ride(06 ss) one day and it just made a clicking noise. I replaced the battery and the starter. When I replaced each piece, the car would run fine. Then within a few days, it would go back to making the clicking sound and no start. I must mention I replaced the BCM in August of 19 because of a no start issue. The only way I can get the car to start is by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery. I will start for a few days then go back to clicking. I'm having to do this more frequently now. And I have no idea why I'm having these issues. Any suggestions?
Clicking sound as in the starter is turning over? Don't keep trying it for more than a few seconds, you can burn the starter motor.
If turns over but won't start then try replacing the ICM, Ignition Control Module, that was my issue which I had last year. ICM is 7 bolts, very easy to do. Though I am not sure if the 06 had one, as i know an 05 has one.
