Where is Door switch for interior lights
While trying to figure out a battery draining problem I came across something I haven't seen before. Where is the switch that turns the interior lights on when the door is opened? I have a 1998 Z34. WHERE is the switch that is usually in the door jamb by the door hinges?
How does the car know if the doors are opened or closed? My interior lights always stay on so I had to pull the fuse. I looked for the usual plunger type switch but neither door has one. I see a rubber boot that covers all the wires running into the door for the mirrors, window and locks but no switch.
If I can find the switch, maybe that's my battery drain problem.
Thanks,
Ron B.
