Weird tool in with jack for car
Does anyone know what a certain tool is supposed to be used for in the trunk next to the jack that has a little yellow rubbercover on it and it looks like a bolt? Just wondering what it was, thanks!
Do you need one? I have an extra one. When I bought the car, the guy stole the jack and lug wrench out of it so I had to buy another jack and stuff and I have two of those yellow things. Just let me know if you want it, no charge.
yeah, it's an extension for the spare tire mounting post so that you can secure your stock/factory wheel in the trunk... if you have a flat - when you take the spare out to put on, you'd put that extension on the spare tire mounting post that's in the trunk -- you screw it on to the existing shorter post, remove the yellow rubber cover off the threads, and it reaches through your stock/factory wheel - so you can then secure your stock wheel in the trunk like the spare was.
