water leak through firewall?
I've heard that there is a screw somewhere near the cabin air filter that has a gasket around it, and when it breaks or becomes loose it causes water to seek in through the fire wall into the interior and leaves me a decent buddle on the passanger side floor board, now i've heard you can reseal it with epoxy or similar product,
Question is: where is that screw at? can some one snap a pic of it if possible or atleast direct me to a good DIY of how to repair it.
thanks in advance.

I'm not sure as far as Monte's go, but the drains for some sunroofs are underneath the cowl (plastic piece at the bottom of the windshield). You have to pop the hood, remove the cowl, and the drain's down there AFAIK

I had the same problem,& as suggested by a member, checked the weatherstrip under the plastic at the cowl. Sure enough,it had fallen off. Put some silicone or weatherstrip adhesive on it,& put it back on. It should cure your problem.

Are you speaking about the plastic on the outside at the bottom of the windshield?

Yes, under the wipers when they are in the park position, on the passengers side. Turn the wipers on, & shut the key off when they are at their highest point on the windshield. Then remove the plastic cowl over the cabin air filter.

Hey guys, I think this is what you're looking for! I had an issue with my '02 where I would get water on the floorboard. I ordered the piece shown here (really cheap from the stealership) and it took about 20 minutes to install. I've had no issues since.
