Default Want to install fog lights

I have an '05 LS. I would like to install some fog lights in the fog light opening. Has anyone done this? If so, could you provide me some hints on how to do it?

Thanks.

I have an 02 LS and added some cheap fogs $20 at walmart. you have to be very very careful cutting out the plastic louver piece. I used a small cut off wheel on an air drill and taped the opening off. there is a bolt in the metal subframe right above the fog opening that I used for the bracket I made. two 90 degree bends made in the vice and two holes driiled in each bracket and then you have to run wires in to where you want to mount the switch. I am going to put oem size fogs in pretty soon because the $20 fogs are a liitle bit smaller than the opening but still look ok.

Another MCF member installed factory fog lights in his Monte. He said the stock wiring was already in place. All he had to do was locate this wiring connector and plug the factory lights in. He also said you have to worry about whether or not the ECM or something else was set up to power the factory lights or not? If this box isn't set up for sending power to the lights then you have to have it set up to do so.

This is if you want the stock dash switch to work the lights.

I see the factory lights on ebay quite a bit. And I know gmpartsdirect.com carries them.

i think i put those same fogs in my monte lol. i also custom made brackets to the bumper support. where did you mount your switch? i ran mine to the center concol and hid it inside. i ran the power off of an acc wire so they shut off with the key. or i can use the switch when they key is on to turn them off.

The member who installed the OEM factory fogs on his car was RickCoMatic. You can pm him for installation instructions. There might be a thread floating around here somewhere too.

Any tips for the 06? I'm debating whether or not it'll be worth it
