Default RE: vibration

You know, I had my brake pads and rotors changed out last october at about 90k (i think...hard to remember exactly). They were the original pads and rotors (the original to me, I bought the car in sept 2004 with 28k miles) and never gave me a problem , just weren't going to pass inspection that month.

About 6,000 miles later, i started getting brake chatter. Got worse and worse. Took it in at 110k. They said that the rotors were worn. I told them that was crazy because I had new rotors put on in October. They said it all depends on your driving style. I figured maybe I just got either defective pads or rotors and paid to have them swapped out. I mean, my driving style didn't change at all in the past few months, and the brakes that I bought it with lasted me at least 60k miles.

I'm planning on doing the brakes myself in the next month. The car is shaking again at highway speeds when the brakes are applied (oh, I got all 4 wheels aligned when I had the brakes done the second time).

Is there any other possible problem that could be causing the brakes to wear out? I want to know of any possibilities so that I don't keep shelling out money for brakes every four months.

Thanks,

Riggs.
