Default Unrelated To My Monte Carlo....

OK this is totally unrelated to my Monte but I thought you guys might be able to help....or steer me in the right direction? My wife has an '05 Trailblazer that needed the stepper motors replaced....no big deal. I bought a "kit" on Ebay that had stepper motors AND bulbs. Now I thought the bulbs were also for the burned out CEL and ABS lights. Turns out the bulbs are only for the instrument backlight.

Any idea where to get a bulb for a burned out CEL and ABS on an '05 Trailblazer? My nephew says they have some kind of resistors in them and his search turned up nothing. Thanks guys!!!!

Got any pics of what you are looking at? Some GM cars use a mix of LEDs and/or a goofy soldier in bulb.

Well he said they appeared to actually be a part of the instrument cluster board? He went to unsolder one to send with me so I knew what I was looking for...and there was nothing to "unsolder"?

He also wondered if some jackass had cut wiring at the PCM to disable the CEL and ABS lights. We both reasoned that there is no way these bulbs should have burned out. He said with them being LED bulbs they should be rated at like 100K hours.

So long story short no I do not have a picture or anything but they appear to be "part" of the cluster and non-replaceable? So I'm guessing we are just screwed then on replacing these?

I did this a few years ago, I got my bulbs at radio shak, bring them with you so it's easier match them.

I can't bring them with....they are actually part of the instrument cluster board. Short of buying a whole new cluster I'm not sure how we are going to replace them. My hope is some jackass cut the wires when they sold it so that the CEL and ABS wouldn't light up.
