Default U-Bend Deleted, lowered shift shock...

Did anyone else notice that after the U-Bend is deleted it seems like the shift shock from the transmission is reduced upon 1-2 gear when starting off from a stop? I believe I noticed this more than the added HP. The car seems to flow more evenly now than before. Did you guys notice it too?

Also, when would it be recommended to get the tranny hot flushed? At what mileage is it ideal. Thanks!!

The tranny subject has been kicked around here a few times. Opinions differ from 30K miles to 75K miles. I don't see how a more frequent flush could hurt it. Mine in coming up on 22K miles from new. I am thinking I will have mine done at 30K-35K miles simply because of how tempermental these trannys are. Want to keep it happy!!

I am pleased to hear about your experience with the U-bend delete concerning the transmission.

The dipstick should read exactly what the car takes. I believe on ours it's regular Dextron III, but do yourself the favor and check first. Also, you could check the manual or with your local dealership.

The filter you should be able to get at any autoparts store, though they may have to order it.
