Ooh weird, the instructions for the Z3 kit had me insert a plug into a port on the TB, said it was for blocking off the PCV. Kinda wonder what i plugged now lol!!

anyway, ill try a JB Welded valve and see if that helps. you may have just fixed my oil consumption issue too!

Your welcome sir. If you block the pcv valve you need to vent the crankcase through the valve cover. Don't block it without venting it.

Glad regapping plugs solved the issue, I also had this issue on the Dyno. Car would break up at 5500rpm. Plugs were gapped to .025 so I regapping to .020 and problem solved.

Thank you for offering the beer sir, however I am here to help people in hopes when I need help the favor is returned. I will have to kindly decline accepting any form of payment of funds. If you wish to repay me, post up some videos making a couple pulls and post some pics of your car so I can enjoy seeing another fellow turbod Monte Carlo happy boosting!!

Your too nice! I have some pics of her in my album under my profile on here. And if I can find a camera man willing to sit in the passenger seat I'll definitely put up some vids on YouTube. We have a nice long stretch of tunnel here that is just a blast at 2am

And don't worry, I already have a breather/catch can setup that directly connects to the front valve cover. Thanks again man.

P. S. if you need any custom or hard to find plastic parts fabricated, like those pesky headlight clips on our cars, let me know. I have a 3d printer and I've already drawn up a lot of hard to find monte parts in CAD.

Nice diagnosis by john, that is wonderful your resolution was not a major issue with your build. Awesome!!

So both of you men have your PCV blocked off and have catch cans. I on the other hand have a catch can and my PCV is still functioning in the system.
Is this a performance related problem by still having an active PCV. Mine literally blew apart the snap on housing and then the car ran like crap, it ran like crap.

Why do we need to cap it off? I can tell my mechanic the benefits of needing to do this. Perhaps that is why I'm having issues at WOT?

Perhaps. ZZP's reasoning for blocking it off is it could allow boost pressure directly into the crankcase, which could blow out seals and wreak all other kinds of havoc. Unless your installer made a proper pcv system that took the turbo into account, it should be disabled in one way or another.

But like John said, make sure to have some kind of breather system setup before blocking off the pcv.

This is the exact reason. The stock pcv isn't meant to hold boost so boost leaks by the pcv and into the crank case. A positive pressured crank case is a bad day waiting to happen.

Would be awesome to see a video ripping through that tunnel!

Come to think of it, I am missing a head light clip lol
