What is a MAF Sensor and how does it work, Do torque mounts help and how does that help, I bought my 2001 Monte Carlo used and when i had it serviced they noticed that the cat was missing should i Replace it or not.

 

A MAF or Mass Air-Flow sensor tells the cars computer how much air is entering the engine. This works together with the oxygen sensor which reads what is leaving the engine and they adjust your fuel ratio together.

Do you NEED a cat where you live? If you don't, I wouldn't put it back on lol.
