The kit comes with a 180 thermostat and the dp comes without the U-bend. You may also want to have your PCM tuned so the fans come on at a lower temperature, and like the previous poster mention, stay on for a minute after you stop the car.
Yep IC and no the bottom lip is there. Changed the fans to come on at 175 and the thermostat is a 160. Also fans run after shutdown but I would have to look to see how long.

It's just really hot here right now. Like the hottest summer on record and we are in exceptional drought.

You can get cold air, which will give you better fuel economy and more horsepower (hardly noticeable). You can get a less restrictive exhaust (think U-bend delete) so that the engine doesn't have to work as hard to get rid of the gases, which will also increase horsepower. You can get a tune that leaves the fans running for a minute or so after you turn off you car. You could also get an IC but that is definitely on the extreme side.
Running Autolite AR104 plugs. Switching to AR103's very soon. Like Monday.

Other answers in other responses.

You can always go with a meziere electric water pump (the high output). That's what I'm doing. It's not cheap, , but beats the OEM one. It's not certain that it'll help but worth a try.

Hey,
If you have any luck, come by San Antonio and do your rain dance!

Anyway,
You could also try a different mix of coolant and water (if you haven't done so already); say 70% coolant and 30% water instead of 50% coolant and 50% water for example. Good Luck and stay cool!
