Sorry, the link I posted apparently does not fit the 3.8s. Here is one for the 3.8

Thank you! I will look into that and see if that will fix my problem. Once again good luck with your vehicle.

Did you have to take apart the throttle body? It seems like its not necessary to do to get access to the FPR. Also I cant find a video of one being repaired on the 3.8. The video you shared is for the 3.4, and mine looks a bit different. Thanks

Yeah I can't find any 3.8 videos either. For the 3.4 you have to take the throttle body off to loosen up the bottom nut to pull the fuel line. Unless you have really small fingers it's pretty hard to get in there. I'm not sure if this is of any help but here is a small guide for the 3800

So after 2 times or so then it will start but its rought starting and the RPM's are all over the place when it starts then it goes back normal. Once it starts it drives fine. I have noticed if you put it in park then it will idle down weird and almost sound like its going to clunk out. Its really hard to explain. Its at the dealer today to get some recalls done and I told them about it. The guy said that it could be fuel pressure regulator. Anyone have these issues before?
Recently purchased my 3.8 2001, test drive everything was good...(cold) gave the dude his money got the title.. stopped 5min down the road to get gas.. almost had a whole come apart when it wouldn't start... luckily my dad was there with knowledge and rationalization witch I lack in certain situations mine is doing this exact thing just picked it up from dealership today they fixed intake gasket recall I've changed intake temp sensor map and cleaned maf oil change reset the comp after no more check engine light but still erratic idle sometimes, loss of power, no start issue and my gas gauge reads full when in drive if it's parked it gives an accurate reading.. should of kept reading to see conclusion but I got so excited when I seen this post, I'll continue reading now... New to the forum if it wasn't obvious..

Theres many things to check unfortunately. The symptoms you’re mentioning sound like fun. Be careful what you clean the MAF with as to not leave a film of any type on the elements as they will be damaged. Use the same throttle body cleaning spray and with the engine idling spray around the intake and vacuum lines checking for a leak, the idle should change (bog down or increase). Clean the idle air solenoid pintle. Remove the EGR valve and see if it’s partially stuck open, clean it with combustion cleaner if it is. Replace the PCV with a OEM from the dealer or an ACDelco from a parts store. Have a dealership or garage with proper equipment perform a CASE relearn.

Thats a long list but most of it is pretty easy.
