Transmission slipping

you drop the pan, take out the filter and then right above it there are some pickups there and you remove them per destructions in your kit and follow them till time to put back togeather it comes with everythign ya need to do it. but the gasket sealr and the fluid.

?Now a secreat is go on Ebay and find the thrasher kit there you are still buying from them just threw thier ebay store and it is cheaper then straight off thier site ont he net.


but it took me 45.min. to get it completly installed and most of the time it was taken while cleaning off the old gasket to make sure it was right. I wanted to make sur ei didnt have any leaks.

Also i used a thin layer of gasket sealer (the stuff int he spray can) Works great and no issues yet.

Well I had the fluid and filter changed this morning and they said it did'nt look all that bad but did need to be changed. The problem is still there so I guess it's off to the tranny shop for a diagnosis. I imagine I should just walk through the door backwards and bent over to speed up the process.

It could also be the catalytic converter.

What tranz fluid did u use? Mine did the same before i dropped the pain n changed the filter n I used penzoil high mileage dextron 4 and two bottles of lucas trans fix and after about a 1000 miles all slipping disappeared....

Give it time try n use Lucas too, it will slowly improve as you drive
