Good news. Took the car back to the dealer (not a Chevy dealer) and told them I wanted it fixed. They said "no, your warranty is expired" I said "tough, I had it in for the same prob when it was still under warranty, you obviously didnt fix it". Went back and forth until the owner got involved. They ended up fixing it. Pressure control module. $80 part, $500 to install. Dealer split the cost with me. Easier than arguing for months with an aftermarket warranty company, and a lot better than a $2500 tranny.

Glad to hear you got it fixed now get that monte' rollin'. The only reason i take my car to the dealer is because its under warranty, but i just dont understand why dealerships have to be so frustrating to work with.

06 monte LT
3.5liter w/ 29,000 miles. Tranny shifts smooth and the car runs very well (knock on wood)

I'm getting ready for the 30K service and i want a tranny flush but my owners manual doesnt say it need to be flushed until 50K. I guess i'm gunna talk to my guy at the dealership, can't wait

03 ss with 95,000 on the original trans, I just noticed two problemsstarting lastweek,

1) The trans slips alittle bit, just enough to notice after my car has been sitting at least a few hours. does anybody have any suggestions? should I replace the fluid and filter soon or not at all?

2) Twice since I just had the brake pads replaced last week, when i first start my car in the morning on my way to work, the traction control light comes on and I can feel fluttering againest the bottom of my footwhen I am trying to accelerate pulling out of the driveway. the fluttering last a second or two,I seems to only happen when Ihave the wheel sharply turnedin one direction or the other. Could someone let me know if this is really serious or only a minor concern?

Well the 3800 in my 2000 has 112k miles, still great. My 89 grand prix, 2.8 L, i love it so much. Just broke 205k and all thats been done was new spark plugs, only the second pair ever, so we had to get them machined out... lol. Still, haha
