Default Transmission issue???

When I accelerate with normal pressure on the gas pedal, my car bumps up and down very very quickly. The front end shakes so much that part of my a-pillar trim fell off. But could it be the torque converter? Clutch plate? Or is the transmission totally shot? I hope it's a cheap fix. Please help

sound to me like you are describing an engine misfire, not a transmission problem. do you have a check engine light on?
