tranny leak

Sorry 2 read about your problem : (
I could be a SmartAzz & say it's leaking from your
transmission : ), but I shall refrain.
What did the tech say @ the oil change location ?
What year/model/engine do you have ?
How low was your transmission fluid ?
(Check it when warm & Monte on level)
Is tranmission slip'in or acting strange ?
Post how it is shifting.
Look 4-ward 2 your answers, and hopefully one of
our expert tech members can share their knowledge,

transmission had a leak...he didnt mention how much had actually leaked already...i have a 02' 3400 montecarlo....to me i havent notice any change in automatic shifting...still smooth i think its just a classic gasket leak...any ideas?
`Eric, I suggest that you have a mechanic check it `out if you can't.
A gasket for a transmission pan, is way far less $'s,
then a rebuilt transmission.

It is to difficult to attempt to evaluate the location of
your leark on your 3.4L without a personal inspection.

first of all..make sure fluid is at proper level, then wash the engine bay, and under the car ..and over the next week or so look for the leak.., if its the pan gasket , easy fix, if its a seal where your cv axles go, easy fix...if its leakin where the torque converter seal is it is a lil more involved, but fixable
